Policies and Procedures
Supporting Your Child's Success
This is a risk-assessed, not a risk-free environment.
As with any environment, there are certain unavoidable and inherent risks. In the Ozarks, those risks include, but are not limited to ticks, chiggers, snakes, rough terrain, and inclement weather.
Your child will learn how to identify and mitigate these risks.
As a certified Wilderness First Responder, I am also trained to respond, assess and treat all variety of injuries that may occur in the field.
True Path Adventures is responsible for maintaining reliable methods of communication and transportation.
In the unlikely event that there is a health issue or injury that requires additional treatment, the following procedure will be followed immediately:
Appropriate emergency or medical services will be contacted/requested.
Child's primary point of contact or guardian will be notified.
Child will be transported as appropriate depending on the issue and necessary treatment.
Cancellations and Refunds
A child may be withdrawn from any course 15 days or more prior to the date of the outing.
A full refund will be provided for withdrawal from an outing 15 days or more prior to the date of the outing.
A partial refund will be provided for withdrawal from an outing less than 15 but greater than 7 days prior to the outing.
A voucher will be provided to reschedule any outing missed due to unanticipated circumstances such as illness or injury.
Dismissal from Course
There are occasions when a child must be dismissed from a course because he/she is not adjusting physically, psychologically or emotionally. This action will take effect only after an evaluation has occurred with the adventurer, the instructor, and the child's parents.
There is a zero-tolerance rule prohibiting malicious shows of disrespect and disregarding instructor guidance. It is critical for the learning and the safety of all young adventurers that the other campers, the land and the instructor are treated with respect and that the instructor's guidance is followed without exception.
