The Mission
True Path Adventures started with a long-time dream to combat the negative effects of devices, technology, and particularly social media on youth. Outdoor adventures have a unique way of pushing us into a space where we are forced to develop observational, problem-solving, critical-thinking, leadership and other valuable life skills.
Many of my adventurers have not yet camped away from their parents. It's true this can be scary at first, but the sense of accomplishment, ownership and responsibility when they complete the adventure is an amazing thing. Facing their fears, testing their limits, working alone and as a team, kids develop bonds and skills to serve them for the rest of their lives.
One of my favorite quotes was from one of our early adventurers: "I feel like I could do anything now!"
That is what it's all about. It's a rite of passage; enabling, empowering, and educating.
